The Scottish Governement's renewable electricity target is to generate the equivalent of 100% of Scotland's own electricity demand from renewable resources by 2020. The data sources for this target come from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The renewable generation figure can be found at the following link

The gross consumption figure can be found at the following link

Provisional generation estimates provide an early indication of progress but the Scottish Government officially report against this target in December of each year.

Quality Management

The United Kingdom Statistics Authority has designated these statistics as National Statistics, in accordance with the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007 and signifying compliance with the UK Statistics Authority: Code of Practice for Statistics.
